BARABATI NRUTYOTSABA: The millennium city Katak, the earlier capital of Odisha, the epic centre of Art, Culture and Heritage, world famous for silver filigree, Katki Saree and the Royal Barabati Fort. This thousand year old Barabati fort’s remaining is still stands as a historical monument in the heart of the city and reminds the glorious history of Odissian Culture. Barabati Nrutyotsaba, International Festival of Classical, Folk Dance and Music is a historical endeavour happening in this Cultural Capital of Odisha since 2001, in front of the Barabati Fort Gate. This festival is the dream Child of Guru. Ashis ku. Das eminent Nrutya Guru and Writer and the founder of Odissi nrutya Mandal. The festival is being organized by Odissi Nrutya Mandal. Now it’s recognized as one of the esteem Cultural Festival of India. Eminent Dancers, Singers and musicians of National and International repute have not only joined the festival but also have enjoyed to be a living part in this Cultural Extravaganza every year.
